EVALUATION OF Zr, Ni-Cr, And Au-Ag APPLIED MATERIALS USING FEM ON PROSTHETIC CROWNS

The crown is a steady prosthesis designed to restore the functionality of damaged tooth along, with its shape and size. They are also used reinforce that poses long-term risk due wide cavities accidental injuries. crowns fixed using dental cement made different materials such as porcelain cement, ceramics, etc. present work aims assess mechanical properties – stiffness strength, single molar prosthetic determine efficacy each material under typical masticatory load observed in clinical settings. To this end, finite element method (FEM) analyze behavior Zirconium (Zr), Nickel Chromium (Ni-Cr), Gold alloy (Au-Ag). models were created Solidworks exported ANSYS FE package. three-dimensional subjected varying loading conditions vertical oblique forces axis suitable displacement boundary conditions. Due relatively high elastic modulus, Zr Ni-Cr exhibited higher stress concentration lower deformation on crown’s intaglio surface compared Au-Ag alloy.
